APPLICATION FOR SPACE
The BRITISH EMPIRE and CHINA TRADE FAIR
Hongkong, December 2nd to 28th, 1935.
To the Organisers, THE BRITISH EMPIRE AND CHINA TRADE FAIR,
THE ADVERTISING & PUBLICITY BUREAU, LTD., ST. GEORGE'S BUILDING, HONGKONG.
I/We hereby make application for space in the British Empire & China Trade Fair (hereinafter called the Trade Fair) for the exhibition of the following:-
DESCRIPTION OF EXHIBIT
SPACE REQUIRED:-I/We hereby request the Organisers of the Trade Fair to allot to me/us the space or spaces numbered
on the Trade Fair plan at the rental of H.K.$..
which rental includes an enclosed and covered stand with walls and ceiling painted ivory white, and having a raised wooden floor and night-sheets. It is understood that shelving, and any other additions, fittings, minor adjustments, etc., and all electrical work and fittings and electric current which I/we may require are not included in this price and will be an extra charge at my/our account. I/We understand that all additional stand-fitting and electrical work is subject to the Organisers' approval and must be carried out by contractors appointed by them.
I/We agree to accept such space or spaces or any alternate space or spaces having approximately equivalent rental, floor area and prominence, provided such space or spaces is/are allotted to me/us within thirty days of the receipt in Hongkong of my/our application.
TERMS OF PAYMENT:-I/We enclose herewith sight draft value H.K.$..
being 25% of the rental, and agree to pay a further 25% of the rental within one month of allotment of space and balance of 50% on or before October 1st, 1935, or immediately on receipt by me/us of notice of allotment if allotted after October 1st 1935. I/We also undertake to bear the additional cost of any alteration to the stand I/we may require and which is approved by the Organisers.
In the event of my/our failing to make any payment provided for in this application by the due dates I/we agree that the Organisers may relet the space allotted to me/us without releasing me/us from the liability for any sums due hereunder.
Application for space is made subject to the Rules and Regulations of the Trade Fair of which I/we acknowledge to have received a copy and I/we agree to abide by such Rules and Regulations (and any additional alterations that may hereafter be made) including the obligation to pay any sums due thereunder.
I/We agree to furnish and equip the stand suitably for the above purpose and to have the same completely furnished and ready for the reception of the public not later than 8 p.m. on November 29th, 1935.
Acknowledgement of this Application does not commit the Organisers to allot the whole or any part of the space applied for and the Organisers reserve the right to refuse any application without affording any reason for so doing. No application will be considered until the requisite deposit of 25% of the rental has been received. Drafts/Cheques should be made payable to The Organisers, The British Empire & China Trade Fair.
